Mississauga is home to the Living Arts Centre, which is a large multi-use facility that is highly appreciated by both the residents of this area as well as visitors. It is made up of many different components all structured to cater to differing interests of visitors. It is comprised of two main buildings with one of them being the Arts and Crafts building, and the other the Performing Arts building. Within these two buildings, many different types of events are held.

The theatre venue is always an exciting one and part of what makes up this roster on a regular basis is the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra.

There is a large offering of many different courses that take place in the Arts and Crafts building. A plethora of activities are available for visitors of all ages and interests. Some prime examples include acrylic painting, acting, and an art lab. For couples who are looking for something exciting and creative, there are venues like lessons in ballroom dancing.
This Living Arts Centre doesn’t believe in any down time so they make sure that there is always something going on. There are year round camps that are seasonal specific like the summer, winter and March break camps.
The Living Arts Centre is totally supportive of the educational system and offers a full roster of events for both students and teachers. These include various performances and workshops. These revolve around the visual and performing arts.
This is almost a year round venue with the gallery only being closed one month out of the year. Throughout this course of time, there is an average of seven exhibits that are put on display. The purpose behind this segment of the Living Arts Centre is to encourage artists in their chosen fields of art.
To add to the pleasure of the visitors there is the LIVE Restaurant that caters to the lunch crowd and then offers a Pre-theatre menu followed by a post theatre dessert menu. Not only will you be able to enjoy a delicious meal and atmosphere at the Live Restaurant, but you’ll also have ample opportunities to mingle and meet new people, as the Restaurant is frequented by both other visitors and numerous surrounding shops’ employees.
